Is this your first time?

Four steps to your first project

You don't need experience or perfect English. Here is how it works.

  1. Pick a call

Every call says where and when the project takes place, who it is for and until when you can apply.

  2. Apply

Fill in the short form on the call page. If you are under 18, you will also need a parent's consent.

  3. Wait for our reply

We review applications and contact you by email or phone.

  4. Get ready to go

Before you leave, you get information about the programme and the journey. What the project covers is stated in each call.

Local roots, international ties

It starts in Kraishte

We are based in the village of Kraishte, Belitsa Municipality. This is where our local initiatives begin — like the "School for Young Influencers", which we ran together with the community cultural centre in Belitsa.

It is also where the young people who join our exchanges and trips across Europe set off from. For some of them it is their first journey outside Bulgaria. Our aim is for every journey to come back home — as skills, friendships and ideas for the community.

Ibrahim Mehmed

Chairman

Chairperson of Future Without Borders Ibrahim is from the village of Kraishte and works to help more young people from small towns and villages access international exchanges, training and opportunities for personal development. He holds degrees in Business Informatics and Digital Marketing from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), as well as in Project Management from the University of Agribusiness and Rural Development. Within the association, he helps prepare and organise projects, communicates with international partners and supports participants in Erasmus+ and DiscoverEU initiatives. Kalin is actively involved in the work of Future Without Borders, helping to organise events and proposing ideas for new projects connected with the local community. He is one of the organisers of the first “Clean from the Mountain” Veal Festival in Kraishte — an event promoting local produce, traditions and livestock farming in the area. As a trainer at the School for Young Influencers in Belitsa, together with Ibrahim Mehmed, he shares practical advice on creating digital content and using social media to present local sights and culture.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

All questions and ways to get involved
Do I need to speak good English?

You don't need to speak it perfectly. International exchanges usually run in English, but motivation and openness matter more. If a call has a language requirement, it says so.

Do I need previous experience?

No. For some of our participants the project was their first trip outside Bulgaria.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the project. In Erasmus+ exchanges, accommodation, food and the programme are usually covered and travel costs are reimbursed up to a set limit. Each call describes what is covered and what you pay yourself.

How old do I have to be?

The age range is stated in each call. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian has to give consent when you apply.

How do I apply?

Open the call and fill in the application form. We review applications and get back to you by email.
